Apply to Join the Olivia E. Mitchell LA City Youth Council

The City of Los Angeles’ Youth Development Department invites Angelenos between the ages of 16 and 25 to apply for the fifth Olivia E. Mitchell LA City Youth Council cohort! The council seats 30 empowered youth from across the City for a 10-month term. During that time, council members learn about the inner workings of local government, drive special community projects and civic events, and make policy and budget recommendations to elected and civic leaders of the City to improve the lives and futures of young Angelenos. Council members are eligible for a stipend of up to $300 per month for the duration of the cohort. Applications for this year’s cohort must be submitted by Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
