No Tresspassing Requirements

To be recognized by the LAPD, your signs must meet specific criteria:
- Exact Wording: The sign must clearly state:
THIS PROPERTY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC
No Entry Without Permission
L.A.M.C. SEC. 41.24
- Lettering Size: The underlined text must feature capital lettering that is at least 2 inches high.
- Placement & Quantity:
- Post signs at every walkway and driveway entering an enclosed property.
- For unenclosed lots, place them at intervals of no more than 50 feet along the property boundary. [1]
City of Los Angeles Trespass Arrest Authorization Form under Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) Section 41.24.
The form authorizes LAPD officers to:
- Enter the property
- Warn trespassers to leave
- Arrest individuals who unlawfully remain or return to the property under specific trespassing conditions
Types of Properties Covered:
- Residential properties
- Commercial properties
- Properties open or closed to the public
The owner fills in:
- Property address
- Property type
- Dates the authorization is valid (up to 12 months)
