Identifying SCG employees

SoCalGas customers may soon notice employees wearing updated uniforms while performing maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service visits throughout the community. While some visits are scheduled in advance, others may occur without prior notice as crews work to maintain safe and reliable natural gas service.

Residents can identify SoCalGas employees by uniforms featuring the company logo, official photo identification badges, and branded vehicles used by most field employees. SoCalGas also works with authorized contractors who may not wear branded uniforms or drive company vehicles, but they are required to carry identification verifying their affiliation with the company.

If someone claims to represent SoCalGas and you are unsure of their identity, ask to see their identification badge or call 1-800-427-2200 to verify.
