Come for the catios. Stay for the coexistence.

The Los Angeles Catio Tour has always been about more than cats.

Keeping cats safely contained protects them from cars, predators and other outdoor hazards, while also protecting the birds, reptiles and small mammals that share our neighborhoods.

Each year, we use the tour to explore another piece of that coexistence story. In past years, we've highlighted the relationships between outdoor cats, birds and pollinators.

This year, we're talking coyotes.

Coyotes are a natural and important part of Southern California's ecosystems- and they're also our neighbors. Throughout this year's tour, we'll be sharing practical information about keeping cats safe, reducing attractants, understanding coyote behavior, and preventing conflict before it starts.

Because coexistence doesn't mean doing nothing. It means understanding the wildlife around us and making choices that keep people, pets and wildlife safer.

Keep cats safe. Protect wildlife. Coexist.
